The panorama of the new musics would not be complete without the fertile contributions of such musicians as Fernando Egozcue. Like he himself claims, tango, rock, jazz, the alternative musics themselves, and classical music, are the basis of his musical culture. He, his guitar and the wise fusion of all these genres and styles shape his particular brand of music. For instance, in Tango en Silencio we can find the essence of this Argentinian composer and arranger. In this his fourth recording contribution (the former ones together with the band Nuevos Aires), soul and feeling are intertwined to develop a simply thrilling product. Together with the author we find the collaborations of Laura Pedreira at the piano and synthesizers, Juan San Martín bass, José San Martín percussion, and Jorge Lema bandoneon. Of the 11 themes, 7 have been composed by Egozcue, the rest have been arranged by the artist. All of them show the good work developed by a musically mature author, far from stereotypes and willing to leave his own footprint. It will no doubt satisfy the listener.
