JOHANNES SCHMOELLING

Johannes Schmoelling began his career as a church-organ player and recording engineer. He worked for several years as a sound technician at a famous Berlin theatre. In January 1980 he joined Tangerine Dream for their studio album Tangram. He continued with the band on Exit (1981), White Eagle (1982), Logos (1982), Hyperborea (1983), and Poland (1984), along with a number of soundtrack recordings, including Thief and many others. Following several additional works, Schmoelling left Tangerine Dream in October 1985. His first solo album was Wuivent Riet in 1986. Besides recording albums, he has also composed music for theatre, TV and film companies.
