STEVE COCHRANE

Steve began his musical efforts as a self-taught guitarist at the age of 15, influenced at first by the music of Rush. He played in several bands, including Endpieces, a progressive rock band that met with modest local success in South Central Ontario, Canada. Eventually, his listening expanded toward the likes of Genesis, Steve Hackett, Renaissance and Mike Oldfield. Steve had developed his own compositional style and a rare artistic vision, and when Endpieces disbanded, had the desire and the confidence to pursue a solo recording career.

Over the next several years, he worked toward acquiring the tools and the ability to record his unique style of dramatic music. His debut album, Heroes Awaken was released in 1991.
