MANUEL GÖTTSCHING / ASHRA TEMPEL / ASHRA

The German band Ashra Tempel was founded in 1970 by Klaus Schulze, Manuel Göttsching and Hartmut Enke, and became a pioneer band of Cosmic Music and avant-garde rock. Schulze and Enke left it some time later, and other musicians became members of it. The name of the band was shortened to "Ashra". Since the mid seventies up to our days, Göttsching has been the leader of Ashra and quite often the only member or composer.
