EDITORIAL INFORMATION
The Space Debris Sessions of the 33nd Symposyum on
Safety, Rescue, and Quality (2000), at the IAF Congress in Rio de Janeiro
again were organized by the International Academy of Astronautics' (IAA) Subcommittee on Space
Debris, Committee on Safety and Quality. During three sessions covering
Measurement and Modeling, Risk Analysis and Protection, and Mitigation
Measures, Space Debris Handbooks and Standards, 30 papers were given.
(Extracted from the Foreword).
