OUR REVIEW

Eclipse! is a true theoretical and practical guide on the lunar and solar eclipses. How to observe them, how to take advantage of our studies, what methods to use...

The book begins with a complete definition of the phenomenon, so simple that any reader not expert in the matter can easily understand it. Then the necessary instruments are described or advised for observation of eclipses, the safety measures to be taken into account in the case of solar eclipses, etc. Harrington does not hesitate to describe the different types of eclipses, how to use photographic systems and even how to prepare and travel to the places where they are visible.

A complete table of eclipses ranging up to the year 2017 is likewise included, and several appendixes with addresses where one can get further information, purchase material or find additional bibliography are also provided. In a few words, this is a true field guide to understand and enjoy the most popular astronomic phenomenon ever.
