EDITORIAL INFORMATION

No author has ever captured the heart-stopping sounds and sights of spaceflight as Mullane has in these pages. You'll sweat in his countdowns, feel the crush of the launch g-forces and hold your breath as his characters uncover the astonishing secret of RED SKY. And Mullane has given the reader another first - an intimate look into the souls of the most select group of people on the planet - the Astronauts.

OUR REVIEW

The astronauts also have their literary talents. In this instance, Mike Mullane, who has flown three times in the Shuttle, is offering us - not a narrative of his experiences as could be expected, but a true novel where he has succeeded in integrating great doses of intrigue, love, and - certainly, space. His contribution is a great novelty, and - just like he himself claims, it only is apt for strong stomachs. We will not reveal its contents, of course, but we will certainly say that it is an entertaining work, highly recommendable, if only because of the curiosity of getting to know what a man who has developed his career among advanced high technologies and futuristic enviroments is able to produce. Have his space voyages influenced the narrative of this novel? Just read it and you will know. We can only state that it transpires emotion and it is very well written indeed. It would be great if other experts in astronautics were able to follow into Mullane's steps. Thus we would open a new literary line (whose themes are not necessarily science fiction) of a really original nature. Oh! And Mullane greets us from the back cover wearing his NASA space suit.book
