OUR REVIEW

One year more the Institute of Theoretical Astronomy of St. Petersburg, Russia, of the Russian Academy of Sciences, publish their Ephemerides of Minor Planets, in this occasion for the year 1995. The volume contains the orbital elements of 5,791 minor planets with respect to the ecliptic and the equinox of 2000.0. Lightcurve parameters are also presented, as well as opposition dates and opposition ephemerides for the year 1995 (equatorial coordinates, distances with respect to Earth and the Sun, phase angle and visual magnitude, all of this for eight dates with ten day increments). The introductory text, where all the parameters appearing in the listings are explained, is written both in Russian and in English. This book is published by the IAT, as well as different computer programs (STAMP, CERES) devoted to the world of minor bodies, in search for supplemetary financing which allows them to carry on their work in this field.

This book, of an extremely high usefulness, both for the professional and for the amateur astronomer, is a definite must in the libraries of all sky watchers.
