PETER MERGENER & KLAUS HOFFMANN-HOOCK: "VISIONS OF ASIA" Prudence / BSC Music An interesting album portraying the collaboration between two remarkable artists of Space Music and other genres of an alternative nature. Klaus Hoffmann-Hock is well known for his work in Mind Over Matter, whereas Peter Mergener has developed a long, prolific solo career after his stage in the duo Software. The different musical personalities of Mergener and Hoffmann-Hock are well combined, as proved in the two previous occasions when they collaborated together in their two themes. Now their team work extends to a complete album which constitutes a remarkable collection of pieces, fusing together the Asian sonorities that have motivated Klaus so much throughout his career, with the cybernetic textures by Peter. The result is a very appealing music, with melodies which are ideal to let imagination fly free, rhythms possessing a notorious complexity and unusual architectures of sound.
