AMONGST MYSELVES: "AUBURN SILHOUETTE" (CD+DVD) Amongst Projects "Auburn Silhouette" is an interesting,imaginative work of Ambient that is not just limited to the music contained in the CD, but rather it expands to the three music videos included in the DVD, a very remarkable initiative: In the strictly musical aspect, the 9 tracks of the CD explore several sides of Ambient, including the cosmic and the sinister, together with some passages nearing other trends, such as for instance Progressive Rock and Electroacoustic Music. Most remarkable is the unusual nature of the atmospheres of sound and that of some of the tonal architectures. As for the visual aspects, the artistic quality is likewise good: Each video explores a different sphere, perfectly fitting the music."Up into the air" shows us impressive sped up recordings of natural landscapes in our world, where we see hours pass in mere instants. "Southern Lights" is a wondrous space video, where we sail through deep space in an impressive way. "Star" also takes us to an unearthly voyage, although in this instance it is more one of a metaphysical nature; we fly through other planes of reality or perhaps of some inner world lodged within the human mind.
