MATTHEW LABARGE: "IN SMALL HOURS" Cynelic Gast Music The music in "In small hours", mostly developed in a romantic key, has in the piano its vehicle for expression. Matthew Labarge shows his great performing skills with this instrument. The pieces, deliberate, unhurried, explore different sides of this romanticism with classicist airs that the composer expresses. The diverse facets explored include the melancholy, the mysterious and the festive.
