JEFF BALL: "THE SHAPE OF LIGHT" Red Feather Music In "The Shape of Light", we find ten compositions that could be labelled within the Contemporary Instrumental Music, which nevertheless include some touches of world musics. The general feel of the work presents a certain air of adventure, as if it were a soundtrack for exciting journeys to exotic lands. This fact provides the album with an important part of its artistic identity. Most remarkable is the skilled use that Ball makes of the wooden American Indian flutes.
