Excellent album this one by Bertrand Loreau. The nine compositions included in it have a great strength and a very emotional beauty.

"Journey through the Past" clearly proves that we are dealing with an experienced musician with excellent skills, not only in the creative arena but also in the technical aspects.

This work is a selection of different themes by Bertrand Loreau composed in different moments along his musical career, which reflect, in a way, his artistic history from 1982 to 1988.

The global style can be labelled within Space Music, with impressive sequencer rhythms and dreamy atmospheres.

Most noteworthy are the melodies, which have the leading role. The melodies usually are warm, dense, full of emotions, at times melancholic, at times enigmatic, with some majestic touches.
