BIONULOR

2009

With his musical project Bionulor, Polish composer Sebastian Banaszczyk tackles an interesting philosophy of composition, where starting from a relatively simple musical structure, he processes sound in such a way that not only the textures gain in wealth, but also the melodies become more complex or acquire personalities essentially different from the original ones.

In my personal opinion, the most evocative themes are the second part of "NCHR.01", with a ghostly air between the electronic and medieval which looks like an impossible connection with the distant pass, and "D.TMPS.05" which offers us a beautiful, mysterious and distant melody, wrapped in an atmosphere of sound typical in an aged vinyl album, which enhances even more the feeling of distance and forgetfulness of the music, as if an old vinyl disc by an unknown author had been found in an attic of an old house.
