STEVE PETERS / J.A. DEANE: "THE WEBSTER CYCLES" Cold Blue Music "The Webster Cycles" is a very interesting work that could be described as Ambient Music performed with trombones. Steve Peters is the composer, whereas J.A. Deane took care of the arrangements and performance. By the procedure of overlapping various tracks, a virtual trombone orchestra is created. An obvious curiosity is awakened by the fact of listening to a musical instrument often associated with Jazz and with vigorous, powerful interventions, being used here in a way apparently so far from its own natural terrain. Beyond it, the result is pleasant to listen to in itself, while at the same time it helps our imagination fly freely.
