Elonia is a project by German artist Manfred Brembach within the frame of New Age or Ambient Music, full of poetry and beauty, which leads the listener to a world of wondrous soundscapes by means of the masterful use of synthesizers, flute whistles, guitars and vocals, all this shrouded into a magic mantle, a mystic adventure throughout nine suggestive themes evoking a world of fantasy that in a way reflect a slight influence of such composers as Oldfield, Kitaro, Cusco or Vangelis, among others. The CD is accompanied by an eight-page booklet with lyrics inspired by fantastic tales and beautiful, dream-like images and photographs, all this conforming a whole that appeals to our imagination. The music turns out to be dreamy, relaxing, even oniric, at times soft, at times lively and blissful, with some melancholy touches, with warm textures and soft colors, always bringing to the mind of the listener the vision of magic unicorns, leprechauns and elves, the little or the great marvels of Nature such as the peace of green grasslands, the wonders of a quiet dawn or dusk, the sound of the sea and seagulls in a mysterious island, the changing shadows of a tree or a little spider weaving its web. The ethereal vocals provided by Andrea Köhler, or Micho Russsell complementing some of the tracks make of this album a joyful, peaceful experience, a tranquil musical journey, a flight of imagination to the realms of Fantasy, which will no doubt please a wide audience.
