Japanese artist Ryuchi Sakamoto, specialized in Classical Music and Pop, utilizing all the resources offered by their acoustic and electronic aspects, has collaborated in the creation of various movie soundtracks , besides developing a successful career as a composer. Even if he has always been interested in exploring the new technologies in art and culture, he has never left out his classical education, and thus, he offers us now an album, released inn Japan in 1999, where the piano is the solo protagonist. Its sixteen themes, of a quiet, calm, character, slow and relaxing, can be labelled within the New Instrumental Music with some brush-strokes of New Age.
