In My Life is the fourth release from Kevin Kern, a talented
pianist. The album is mainly a beautiful collection of piano songs, all composed by Kern
except two which are great arrangements of classic Elton John and
Lennon/McCarney themes. The author uses a Yamaha acoustic grand piano but also a
Kurzweil K2500 synthesizer. Michael Wilcox (electric bass), Michael
Spiro (percussion), Thalia Moore (cello) and Jeremy
Cohen (violin) contribute to the work. The 11 themes are basically romantic and
sensual, musical poems that capture the almost lyrical inspiration from the spirit.
