Sharon Isbin (guitar), Paul Winter (soprano saxophone) and Gaudencio Thiago de Mello (percussion) perform in this album a collection of instrumental pieces composed by Laurindo Almeida (1917-1995), Antonio Lauro (1917-1986), Agustin Barrios Mangore (1885-1944), Isaias Savio (1900-1977), Alfredo Vianna (Pixinguinha) (1898-1975), Gentil Montaña, Leo Brouwer, Benito Canonico, and Gaudencio Thiago de Mello himself. Throughout the 54 minutes that the CD lasts, we can hear themes with Bossanova reminiscences, others of a clear Classical structure, and various with some touches typical of jazz. The music is, on the whole, melodic, warm, and with romantic traits.
