BOB AND ROBIN ORFANT

"SPLENDOR"

Coastline Productions

In Splendor, Bob and Robin Orfant offer us a charming succession of instrumental themes that intend to evoke the art of Maxfield Parrish, a painter who died in 1966. The pieces crop out from the utilization on the part of the authors of the same studio that Parrish used to develop his works. The bright, colourful palette of the painter is apparently assimilated by the Orfants as their production shows intimistic and at the same time euphoric details. Flutes, piano, guitars, etc., shape a musical texture that extends itself as a velvet carpet, soft and mysterious. On the cover of the album there is a beautiful picture by Parrish, painted in 1917.
