Pilgrim, a band formed by James McCarty, Tania Matchett, John Richardson and Carmen Willcox, with this album offer us a sample of what they are capable of doing. Their music, full of warm melodies, is inspired in legends and myths of ancient times, yet the musical focus is basically modern. Part of the melodies is on a pop line, whereas the rest has a classical character. The music is soft, romantic. Several of the pieces are sung. Some of the lyrics have been written by poet Carmen Willcox. The important melodic component in the album also includes the participation of solo voices. For example, "Swinburne" is recited by Carmen Willcox.
