The impressive, deep voices of the Tibetan monks are a classic of meditative music. A group of these monks from a monastery called Gaden Shartse, sited in Mungod, on the south of India, travelled to Spain in 1997 and gave several concerts in Ibiza, Barcelona and Gerona within an international tour. In this album we find included the best moments of these live performances, which enjoyed the collaboration and accompaniment of other musicians, such as Guillermo Cazenave and Anthony Phillips. The CD contains 8 themes, some of which were re-recorded in the Astral Studios. The songs, performed by several members of the Gaden Shartse Monastic College Choir, contain basically voices and simple traditional instruments, except for the suggestive synthesized and guitar accompaniments by Cazenave and Phillips.
