In this CD, Nightnoise have selected some of their best compositions from 1984-97: "Silky Flanks", "Shadow of Time", "Jig of Sorts", "Shuan", "Do we", "Murrach na Gealaich", "Hugh", "Moondance" (written by Van Morrison), "Heartwood", "The Cricket's wicket", "Night in that land", "At the races". The album was recorded live at White Horse Studios in Portland, Oregon on March 25-28, 1996 except for "Shuan", "Night in that land", and "At the races" recorded live in Malaga, Spain on October 17, 1995, and "Heartwood" recorded at Musicraft Studios and White Horse Studios. The compositions not only include elements of a Celtic style, but also of New Instrumental Music, giving as a result a music with its own identity.
