BRIEFS:

On March 17, Hubert Bognermayr, the Austrian electronic music pioneer, died. He was born in 1948. He was the founder of the Blue Chip Orchestra, as well as its project designer, engineer and Fairlight computer specialist. In the 1970's he was the head of the famous Austrian Symphonic Rock Group EELA CRAIG. Together with Ulrich Rutzel (President of Erdenklang Records and producer of Blue Chip Orchestra), he founded THE ARS ELECTRONICA festival for electronic arts in Linz, Austria, in 1979. Bognermayr was also the head of the BLUE CHIP ACADEMY.
On May 29 (22.30), Albert Gimenez and Dom F. Scab will give a live performance at Heliogabal (Ramon y Cajal, 80, Barcelona, Spain).
