UK, January 31. VANGELIS FAN CLUB ANNOUNCED. It's just been announced the formation of ALBEDO, the name chosen for the Vangelis Appreciation Society which aims to supply fans around the globe with news and information about Vangelis and to create a wider and closer circle of Vangelis supporters. ALBEDO will produce a fanzine, issued initially every six months, which will be a mirror to reflect Vangelis' work and the views of his many fans. The magazine will contain news, interviews, competitions, letters, views and information for collectors. It will review past works, endeavour to provide special offers for fans, propose suggestions for future projects and in the longer term organise a weekend convention. ALBEDO will be non-profit making within any proceeds made by the club being donated to charity. The first issue of the fanzine will be published during May/June '97.
