The so long expected last release by Greek musician Vangelis is already for sale in Europe (early 1997 in the USA). The album, called Oceanic, has obvious reminiscences of the sea and contains true musical pearls. Its general character is essentially melodic, half way between Voices and perhaps Antarctica and 1492. It's 51 minutes and 9 themes where the fans of Vangelis will find almost all the ingredients through which the artist is so well known.
Nevertheless, this has not been the only work by Vangelis during the last months. The musician has also composed the soundtrack for the Greek movie Kavafis, although so far its record release has not been contemplated.
