UK, November 1. On Air is the new album by Alan Parsons. It is dedicated to the human activity in the air. The idea to choose this theme as a basis for a new work came out after the tragic death of an American pilot who had been killed while on a peaceful mission, gunned down by his own mates, who had mistaken him for an enemy on the border between Iraq and Kuwait. The pilot was a relative of Ian Bairnson's, a guitarist in Parsons's band, which gave rise to the creation of this CD. Besides its containing music, it also includes CD-ROM multimedia material, consisting in images on human flight.
