JOHN MICHAEL GRAY

John Michael Gray started piano lessons at age 8. After 3 years of piano lessons, and 3 years of organ lessons, he got his first professional opportunity playing the pipe organ for his hometown Catholic Church in Ashkum, Illinois, USA. In high school, John Michael became interested in rock music and formed a band with four friends to play for high school dances. This experience led to years of playing keyboards with several bands. While playing in bands, John Michael also taught piano and keyboard lessons at his own studios. In 1995, he recorded his first CD/cassette of original solo piano songs called, Pure Passion, and with his wife, Jennifer, formed his own record and distribution company, Daistar Company. By the spring of 1997, John Michael had written enough songs for a new project, and Yamaha Corporation of America invited him to record on their new GT1 Digital Grand Piano. Two products resulted from those sessions; a CD/cassette of original solo piano songs called, Time Stands Still, and a CD/cassette of solo piano Christmas songs called, Johnny's 4th Christmas.
