Previous Page (Galleries).Born in Spain on July 30, 1923, Teresa Borrás began her musical studies at age eight, and later continued studying music at the Conservatoire of the Liceu in Barcelona, where she specialized in Piano, Harmony and Guitar. She was granted a scholarship at the Academia Chigiana from Siena in Italy in 1950, thanks to which she could attend post-graduate studies in Italy, specializing in Composition. Throughout her long career, Teresa Borrás has likewise given several piano recitals, and has engaged in an important pedagogical activity as a teacher of music.
