Previous Page (Galleries).Birgitte Grimstad has been a leading folksinger in Scandinavia since the mid-sixties. She has had an extensive career of international concert touring, radio- and TV-appearances and 20 albums. Since 1986 she has worked experimentally with the voice and created music for theatre and dance perfomances and perfomance-art projects with the voice as the only instrument in multitrack recordings. She has her own One-woman-theatre for perfomance-art and musical theatre projects. She lives in Oslo, Norway and teaches workshops in voice training and sound meditation.
