Dino del Monte was born in Bucarest, Romania. A versatile musician who continues with the artistic tradition of his family in the world of classical music, Dino shapes in it his apprenticeship and his musical foundations. A virtuoso of the zimbal, an instrument of a Chinese origin, with a timbre between that of the piano and the psaltery, Dino del Monte performs his own compositions by applying a self-taught, innovative technique. After a long career developed throughout several European countries, he moved to Granada (Spain) during the decade of the seventies, where he lived for a long time, and he also got acquainted to flamenco music. He had his first experience with flamenco with the great "cantaor" (= singer) Enrique Morente, with whom he worked in numerous festivals, on tours all over Spain and Europe. He has collaborated throughout a long, extensive career, with other prestigious artists all over the flamenco world such as Pepe Habichuela, Manzanita, Rafael Riqueni, Ramón El Portugués, Raúl Cortés...
