RAPHAEL

Born in the USA, Raphael was brought up in an European religious environment. His precocious musical talent led him to learn classical music and Gregorian chants. In his teenage years, he alternated his studies of piano and composition with periods of a Bohemian life and a trajectory within rock and musical improvisation. In the early seventies, he became a musician at the Esalen Institute, where he stayed for twelve years. In that time he developed his ideas about the therapeutic properties of music, and recorded several CDs. He achieved international success in the eighties with his album Music to disappear in.
